Description

Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese Jalapeño Burgers combine the best of two comfort food classics with a spicy twist. A juicy beef patty is stuffed with creamy mac ‘n’ cheese, crispy bacon, and spicy jalapeños, then grilled to perfection. This burger is perfect for those who love bold flavors and a bit of heat, making it an ideal dish for barbecues, game days, or any time you want to treat yourself to something indulgent and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni and cheese
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mac ‘n’ Cheese: Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and mix with your preferred cheese sauce until creamy. Stir in chopped jalapeños and let it cool slightly.
  • Form the Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and flatten each portion into thin patties.
  • Stuff the Patties: Place a spoonful of the jalapeño mac ‘n’ cheese in the center of four patties. Add crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cover each with another patty, sealing the edges tightly to enclose the filling.
  • Cook the Burgers: Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the stuffed patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the beef is fully cooked and the cheese inside is melted.
  • Assemble the Burgers: Toast the hamburger buns. Place the stuffed patty on the bottom bun, and add lettuce, tomato, and pickles if desired. Top with the remaining bun and serve hot.

Notes

  • Ensure the mac ‘n’ cheese is thick enough so it doesn’t spill out of the burger while cooking.
  • You can adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
  • For added flavor, try adding a slice of cheese on top of the patty before assembling the burger.
