Description

The Bacon Raspberry Swirl Burger is a unique and flavorful burger that combines the smoky goodness of crispy bacon with a sweet and tangy raspberry swirl sauce. This gourmet burger is perfect for those who love experimenting with bold flavors, offering a delightful mix of savory and sweet in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Arugula leaves (optional)
  • Red onion slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. Form the Patties: Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the meat into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  3. Cook the Patties: In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Add a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  4. Prepare the Raspberry Swirl Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the raspberry jam and balsamic vinegar. Heat over low heat, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Assemble the Burgers: Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the top halves of the buns. Place a beef patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with crispy bacon and a generous swirl of raspberry sauce. Add arugula and red onion if desired.
  6. Serve: Top the burgers with the prepared buns and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a leaner option, turkey bacon can be used in place of regular bacon.
  • Fresh raspberries can be used to create the sauce instead of raspberry jam by cooking them with sugar and balsamic vinegar.
  • To make the burger gluten-free, use gluten-free buns and check that all other ingredients are gluten-free.
  • The raspberry swirl sauce can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
