Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
    • In another bowl, mix warm milk, mashed bananas, egg, and melted butter.
    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
    • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the Filling:
    • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
    • After the dough has risen, roll it out into a 16×12-inch rectangle.
    • Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly.
  • Assemble the Rolls:
    • Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log.
    • Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake the Rolls:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare the Frosting:
    • In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
    • Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
