Quick to prepare and incredibly flavorful, these pork chops are bound to become a go-to favorite in your recipe collection.

Ingredients

  • 🍖 4 pork chops
  • 🍄 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🧀 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 🧂 Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 🥣 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Heat the oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the pork chops: Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Add mushrooms and garlic: Remove the pork chops and set them aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
  • Top with cheese: Return the pork chops to the skillet and sprinkle them with shredded Swiss cheese. Cover the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve: Serve the pork chops hot, topped with the mushrooms and melted cheese.

Notes

  • You can substitute Swiss cheese with mozzarella, provolone, or cheddar if preferred.
  • Bone-in pork chops can also be used, but they may require a longer cooking time.
  • Make sure not to overcook the pork chops to keep them juicy.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
