- 8 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped

- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp thyme (optional)
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Sauté mushrooms, onions, and garlic in a skillet until softened (about 5 minutes). Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
- Gently fold in the Swiss cheese, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
- Spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf as a glaze.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

- For a leaner version, you can substitute ground beef with ground turkey.
