Ingredients

Scale

For the burger patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the toppings:

  • 4 slices Brie cheese
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 tablespoons raspberry preserves
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
  • 4 brioche buns, lightly toasted
  • Arugula or mixed greens

Instructions

  • Prepare the Patties:
    • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to combine, avoiding over-mixing.
    • Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, creating a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  • Cook the Patties:
    • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Brie cheese on each patty to melt.
  • Assemble the Burgers:
    • Mix raspberry preserves and chipotle sauce together. Spread this mixture on the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun.
    • Place the Brie-topped patty on the bun, then add a slice of crispy bacon and a handful of arugula or mixed greens.
    • Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a milder flavor, you can adjust the amount of chipotle sauce or use a mild chili sauce.
  • If you prefer a different cheese, Camembert or goat cheese are excellent substitutes for Brie.
