Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Red onion slices (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Form the Patties: Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the meat into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  • Cook the Patties: In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  • Make the Strawberry Spread: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread the mixture on the top halves of the buns.
  • Assemble the Burgers: Place a beef patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with crispy bacon, sliced strawberries, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Add lettuce and red onion if desired.
  • Serve: Top the burgers with the prepared buns and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a leaner option, you can use turkey bacon instead of regular bacon.
  • If you prefer, you can substitute the strawberries with peaches or apples.
  • For a more indulgent experience, try using brie or goat cheese instead of cheddar.
  • To make the balsamic glaze at home, reduce balsamic vinegar on the stovetop until it thickens.
  • Use gluten-free buns to make this recipe gluten-free.
