Description

The Bacon Blackberry Cheesecake Burger is a one-of-a-kind burger that combines savory and sweet elements for a truly unforgettable flavor experience. Juicy beef patties are topped with crispy bacon, a layer of creamy cheesecake, and a tangy blackberry sauce, all tucked inside a toasted brioche bun. This recipe brings together the richness of bacon and beef with the sweetness of cheesecake and blackberries, resulting in a delightful contrast of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 beef burger patties
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 8 slices of crispy bacon
  • 4 slices of cheesecake (about ½ inch thick)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Make the Blackberry Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the berries break down and the sauce thickens. Set aside to cool.
  • Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the burger patties with salt and pepper. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Let them rest for a few minutes.
  • Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the brioche buns in the same skillet or toaster until golden and slightly crispy.
  • Assemble the Burgers: Place one burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add a slice of cheesecake on top of the patty, followed by two slices of crispy bacon. Drizzle with blackberry sauce. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, let the blackberry sauce simmer longer to reduce further.
  • You can freeze the cheesecake slices for a few minutes before assembling the burgers to keep them firm while handling.
  • To add an extra crunch, try using candied bacon instead of regular bacon for a sweeter twist.
