Description

The Bacon Blackberry Cheesecake Burger is an innovative fusion of savory and sweet flavors. Juicy beef patties are topped with crispy bacon, a rich cheesecake spread, and a tangy blackberry sauce, all sandwiched between buttery toasted buns. This burger is a perfect blend of creamy, sweet, and savory, making it an unforgettable treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Burger:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Butter for toasting buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Blackberry Sauce: Combine blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, then set aside to cool.
  • Cook the Bacon: Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Make the Cheesecake Spread: Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Form the Patties: Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then divide and shape into four patties.
  • Cook the Patties: In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until done.
  • Toast the Buns: Butter the cut sides of the buns and toast them in the skillet until golden brown.
  • Assemble the Burger: Spread cheesecake mixture on the bottom bun, add a beef patty, top with bacon, drizzle with blackberry sauce, and finish with the top bun.

Notes

  • You can prepare the cheesecake spread up to 2 days in advance.
  • Frozen blackberries can be used if fresh ones aren’t available; just thaw them first.
  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the beef patty with a plant-based burger or a grilled portobello mushroom.
