Description

Experience the ultimate fusion of sweet and savory with this Bacon Strawberry Shortcake Burger. Juicy beef patties are paired with crispy bacon, fresh strawberries marinated in balsamic vinegar, and a layer of buttery shortcake, all topped with a dollop of whipped cream. This gourmet burger is perfect for those who love to experiment with flavors and create memorable meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 shortcake biscuits
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Bacon: In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Shape into four equal patties. Cook in the same skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  • Marinate the Strawberries: In a small bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Let the mixture marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  • Assemble the Burger: Start by placing a shortcake biscuit on the bottom half of each bun. Add a beef patty, followed by two slices of bacon. Spoon the strawberry mixture over the bacon and add a dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with fresh basil, if desired.
  • Serve: Place the top half of the bun over the whipped cream and strawberries. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the ground beef with ground chicken or turkey.
  • If you don’t have shortcake biscuits, substitute with regular biscuits or Hawaiian rolls.
  • The strawberry topping can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
