This recipe features ground beef mixed with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and a blend of tangy BBQ sauce, ketchup, and mustard. - 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for glazing)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, cheddar cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan. Spread a layer of BBQ sauce over the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
- For a smoky twist, try adding a dash of smoked paprika to the meat mixture.
- This meatloaf can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
