Description

The Maple Bacon Waffle Burger is a delightful combination of savory and sweet flavors, combining juicy burger patties, crispy bacon, and maple syrup nestled between two golden waffles. It’s the perfect twist on a classic burger, perfect for brunch or a fun dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large waffles (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 lb ground beef (formed into 2 patties)
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp butter (for greasing)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato, or pickles for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the waffles: Prepare homemade waffles or toast store-bought ones until golden brown.
  • Cook the bacon: In a skillet, fry the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • Cook the patties: Season the beef patties with salt and pepper. Cook on medium heat in a skillet or on the grill for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Melt the cheese: Add a slice of cheddar on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
  • Assemble: Butter one side of each waffle. Place a patty on one waffle, add the bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup. Add optional garnishes if desired, and top with the second waffle.

Notes

  • For a sweeter experience, try adding extra maple syrup or honey.
  • You can use different types of cheese for variety, such as gouda or Swiss.
  • Substitute ground beef with turkey, chicken, or a veggie patty for a healthier option.
