Description

Indulge in a spooky twist with this luxurious Steak with Haunted Bourbon Garlic Cream Sauce. A smoky bourbon-infused sauce with a hint of garlic perfectly complements the tender ribeye steak. Whether for a gourmet dinner party or a weeknight meal, this recipe brings bold, comforting flavors that are sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1012 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup bourbon whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steaks: Rub olive oil, salt, and pepper all over the steaks. Let them rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Sear the Steaks: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer depending on your preference. Set the steaks aside to rest.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in the bourbon and deglaze the pan, scraping any browned bits. Let the alcohol cook off for 2 minutes.
  • Create the Cream Sauce: Add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Stir and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve: Pour the sauce over the steaks, garnish with extra thyme, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the bourbon with beef broth or apple cider.
  • You can adjust the garlic to your taste if you prefer a stronger or milder flavor.
  • This recipe pairs well with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
